Griffin and Greg both grew up in the “757” but didn’t meet until the summer of 2017 when they were both in college. Several of Griffin’s good friends from Virginia Tech knew Greg from high school, and one day, Greg came to Griffin’s house as a part of a bigger group looking to hang out and enjoy some free beer.

A first casual meeting led to a few dates… and then a return to their respective colleges, which were about four hours apart. At that time, Griffin was in Blacksburg, and Greg was in Richmond. Right after college, they switched cities (not as helpful as moving to the same city !). Greg went to grad school at Virginia Tech, and Griffin started a new job in Richmond.

After five years of traveling back and forth on I-81 and I-64 across Virginia, Griffin moved to Blacksburg and brought her dog, Sadie, to begin a new life with Greg. The following year, they added a cat named Gary to round out their family unit. Beyond a mutual love for animals, Greg and Griffin bond over friends, family, college football, hiking, skiing, and just hanging at home for a movie night. Somehow, Greg has even passed on his love of Formula 1 to Griffin!!!!

Things pick up speed from there, with Greg proposing to Griffin in September 2023 in the breathtaking mountains outside Asheville, NC. Less than 12 months later, there will be a fantastic wedding in Virginia Beach that we can’t wait to see you at! We are excited to share that experience with you in our hometown, with a beautiful view of the Lynnhaven River, great food and music.
